Abstract
IMPACT OF CLINICAL PHARMACIST INTERVENTION IN MANAGING LIPID PROFILE

ABSTRACT
Objective: The objective of the study was to find out the effect of a clinical pharmacist inclusion in a healthcare team in managing the lipid profile of dyslipidemia patient. Method: A prospective interventional study was performed in a population of dyslipidemia patients who were on medication for about 2 years. The selected patients were randomly categorized into two group like normal care group nd interventional group. Then later group was given advice by clinical pharmacist with regular follow up and patient counselling while the former was not provided with any additional care. Results: The
analysis sowed that though there was reduction and control in the cholesterol level in both groups, significant difference in the end values existed between the both groups. Improvement in HDL was seen in the interventional group that which is an indication of controlled dyslipidemia.
