A REVIEW ON: HERBAL APHRODIASICS AGENTS

ABSTRACT
Aphrodisiac is the word emanated from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sexual, love and beauty. An aphrodisiac is determined as an agent (food or drug) that arouses sexual desire. Contemporary sexual dysfunction therapy absence satisfactory success due to harmful effect, hence patients are pursuing complementary and alternative medicine to treat sexual dysfunction. Ayurveda and other Indian literature speak briefly the use of plants in various human ailments. India has about more than 45 000 plant species and mid them several thousand are declared to takeover medicinal properties. Researchers controlled in
the last few decades on the plants reffered to in ancient literature or Used conventional for sexual dysfunction. increasing search for medicinal plants with aphrodisiac prospective has necessitated the demand to review techniques available for screening medicinal plants with aphrodisiac potentials. This review aims to highlight some of the new and currently used medicinal plants that are used for aphrodisiac activity.
