ABSTRACT
The thiazolopyrimidine is a 6 – 5 membered fused bicyclic ring system with a number of biological activities. Thiazolopyrimidines are the cyclic organic compounds which contain hetero atoms like nitrogen and sulphur. Thiazolopyrimidine have been found a key structure in medical chemistry and also, they are frequently found in large percent in biomolecules such as chemical and natural products and biological active compounds including antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti-HIV, antidiabetic, anticancer, antipsychotic, dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor, antiallergic, antitubercular activites etc. Biological activity of thiazolopyrimidine is studied to understand its reactivity rate, to study the structure activity relationship and to find out the pharmacophore in the thiazolopyrimidine derivatives. The review article shows the extent of biological activity of the thiazolopyrimidine derivatives.
Keywords: Thiazolo-pyrimidine, Biological evaluation.
