ABSTRACT
Balo's concentric sclerosis (BCS) is considered a variant of multiple sclerosis characterized by concentric lamella of alternating demyelinated and partially myelinated tissues. It is a rare and comparatively acute condition. Attacks could proceed abruptly over weeks or months, generally, while not remission, like Marburg's variant, leading to death. However, the majority of cases have an additional benign, self-limiting course with spontaneous remission. Magnetic resonance imaging could be a primary imaging modality within the identification of BCS. Treatment with intense immunological suppressants is also indicated in patients with additional aggressive kinds.
Keywords: Balo's concentric sclerosis, demyelinated, Marburg’s variant.
