DRUG REPOSITIONING, AN OLD ARROW FOR AGAINST CANCER: MINI REVIEW
*Payal N. Khandait and Upadesh B Lade
ABSTRACT In drug development, drug repositioning is gaining growing interest because it represents a clever way to exploit new molecular targets of a known drug or target promiscuity among various diseases for different medical uses than the one originally considered. We concentrate on known non-oncological drugs with new therapeutic applications in oncology in this study, describing the reasoning behind this approach and presenting practical evidence. Keywords: Drug repositioning, Cancer, Vascular Endothelia Growth Factor, AKT-mTOR pathway, Thalidomide, Digitoxin, Statins. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
