EVALUATION OF EFFICACY OF DASHAMOOLA TAILA MATRA BASTI IN UDAVARTINI YONI VYAPAT WSR DYSMENORRHEA A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL STUDY

ABSTRACT
Dashamoola taila is one of the dosage form which is recommend in in most of the vata vyadhis. Dashamool dravyas possess vata shamaka property apart from that taila which is one of the sneha dravya among this tila taila which said to be shresta vatanga. Hence the combination of tila taila & dashamool in dashamoola tila found to be effective in vataja vyadhis. Basti mode of administration of dravya is considered as ardha chikitsa hence in the present study 20 diagnosed udavartini yoni vyapat patients selected from OPD of R. P. K Hospital Ilkal and treated with matra basti with dashamool taila at the dose of 72 ml per day for period of 7 days duration. After treatment course 2 consecutive cycle
observed. 20 number of patients were involved in the study. Matra basti treatment was found therapeutically effective in all the patients’ pain during menstruation was completely reduced. After treatment showing statically highly significant results indicating dahamool taila matra basti is one of adoptable method in the management of udavartini yoni vyapat.
