METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF RIVAROXABAN IN BULK AND TABLET DOSAGE FORM BY UV-SPECTROSCOPY

ABSTRACT
A novel, simple, efficient, accurate and precise spectroscopic method has been developed and validated for quantitative estimation of Rivaroxaban in bulk and tablet dosage form. Rivaroxaban solution was scanned in the UV range of 200-400 nm. λmax of Rivaroxaban was found to be at 246nm. The method obeys beers law in the concentration range from 2-10μg/ml. The correlation coefficient was found to be 0.998 with excellent recovery 100.2-100.69%. The method was validated for several parameters like accuracy, precision as per ICH guidelines. The method showed good recovery with % RSD less than prescribed limit. Hence the proposed method is precise, accurate and economical. Thus the validated method can be successfully applied to routine analysis.
