ABSTRACT
Medicinal Plant have been used for centuries as a remedy for human diseasebecause they contain components of therapeutic worth. The acceptance of conventional medicine as an a alternative type health care and development. The present research confined to the study of phytochemical screening and anti-oxidant activity ofblack pepper seeds, The leaves were collected from black pepper seedstree dried under the sheds and made fine coarse powder. The powder was poured in 1 liters of petroleum ether for 48hrs, it is important for removal of fatty acid and oils. Then the coarse powder was successively extracted with Distilled water (extract 1) and Ethanol: Water (1:1) (extract 2) by soxhlation (Soxhelt apparatus). Various chemical test of leaves showed that glycoside, alkaloids, carbohydrates, phenols, amino acid and
saponins. The phytochemical screening of extract was done by Column Chromatography. The antioxidant potential of plant Carissa carandusleaves extracted with different polarity base solvents was assessed. The antioxidant activity (in vitro) was evaluated by measurement DPPH scavenging activity method.
Keywords: Anti-Inflammatory and anti non receptive activities.
