ABSTRACT
The carbaryl (carbamate insecticides) has shown strong piscicidal activity in freshwater teleost fish Colisa fasciatus for all the exposure periods (24h or 96h) in time as well as dose dependent manner. The LC50 values decreases from 18.95 (24h) to 15.24 (96h) in winter season (water temp. 16°C) and 5.25 (24h) to 4.54 (96h) in summer season (water temp. 28°C). This fish is also eaten by poor people especially in village. So, the aim of this study was examining the study of carbamate insecticides to the freshwater fish Colisa fasciatus.
