HOLISTIC MEDICINE AS A GREAT HOPE FOR HEALTH CARE

ABSTRACT

Nature is a big source for the supply of bioactive and non-toxic ingredient which is frequently used in the prophylaxis of the treatment of any disease from ancient age to the current era only by the herbal drugs. Herbal medicines are originally obtained from natural source. It is used as analgesic, diuretic, laxative, anti-inflammatory, chemotherapeutic and so many purposes. There are many techniques and methods now available which is used to cure disease in medical science by allopathic treatment but they may create some side-effect where as the natural medicines cure the disease with a very less amount of side-effect. The Holistic unit built by the soft as well as hard tissues of lignified and cellulose fibers hold the intrinsic energy, which reflects the curability of various diseases in health care system. Medicinal plant has the beauty of healing power; plenty of drugs can be isolated from the various units of flora and fauna of the environment for the usage in healthcare unit in ailments of disease. So the holistic medicine coming from the nature contains so many types of chemical constituents like alkaloids, tannins, glycosides, terpenes, flavonoids, steroids, lipids, vitamins etc. whose building block is decorated by the single element placed in the periodic table like carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and so many other elements. These all segments unite to form a big molecule, which has drug action by receptor binding at the specific site. These specific units are formed by biogenesis followed via biosynthesis inside the cellular cytoplasm only due to the homeostasis of natural ecosystem. Nature makes these chemical constituents, which are biologically active and used in healthcare. The great storehouse of so many chemicals in the cellular structure of holistic unit is a boon for the health care system in living beings.
