A CLINICAL STUDY ON THE ROLE OF BALA TAILA NASYA WITH OR WITHOUT NASA PICHU IN THE MANAGEMENT OF NASA PRATINAHA W.S.R. TO DEVIATED NASAL SEPTUM AND TURBINATE HYPERTROPHY

ABSTRACT
Nasa Pratinaha is one among the 31 Nasa Roga mentioned by Acharya Sushruta in which nasal obstruction is the main symptom. It is a commonly encountered disease in clinical practice. It is appropriate to consider Nasa Pratinaha as Turbinate Hypertrophy and Deviated Nasal Septum. The best drug prescribed in Nasa Pratinaha is Bala Taila which has to be administered in different forms. In present study 30 patients of Nasa Pratinaha were selected and randomly divided into two groups of 15 patients each. Group A was treated with Bala Taila Nasya and Nasa Pichu and Group B was treated only Bala Taila Nasya. Their individual and comparative effects were revealed in the study. A significant relief was found in most of the symptoms and
signs of Nasa Pratinaha (DNS & TH) after the trial.
