ABSTRACT
A new, simple, sensitive, rapid, precise and highly selective UV spectrophotometric method for estimation of propranolol hydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosage form. This method is based on measurement of absorbance at 271 nm and 289 nm as two wavelengths selected for quantification of Propranolol Hydrochloride using ethanol as a solvent. Beer’s law was found to be obeyed in the concentration range 2-40 μg/ml for propranolol hydrochloride. The proposed method was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD, LOQ as per ICH guidelines.
