DETAILED REVIEW ON SARS-CoV-2 VIRUS AND ITS VACCINES

ABSTRACT

A series of acute unusual respiratory diseases was originated in December 2019 in Wuhan of Hubei Province, China by a novel coronavirus which is now named as SARS-CoV-2 virus. The disease caused by this virus was named COVID-19. Here, in this article, I review in detail the classification of the SARS-CoV-2 virus along with its structural biology. I also mention the spreading of a virus inside a human host along with its diagrammatic representation. There are various routes through which the transmission of the virus takes place which is also explored in detail. It gives a brief idea of the various treatment available today for the COVID-19 virus which includes antiviral, antibacterial, immunity booster, and vaccine. The different types of vaccine are also listed in the article along with various types of immunization which can be acquired by different types of vaccine. Furthermore, there is a detailed explanation of how the COVID-19 vaccine works and how the development process of various vaccines all around the world is being carried out.
