FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF TEMPORARY HAIR HIGHLIGHTERS

ABSTRACT
Temporary hair dyes are being preferred nowadays; due to the vast number of advantages it exerts to overcome the ill effects of a permanent hair dye. Women are increasingly choosing to enhance their hair color that removed easily in one wash by shampoo. The current research was aimed at the preparation of temporary hair dye and evaluation of its various parameters. We have attempted to prepare and standardized this formulation to ensure its application, quality as well as stability aspects. The product was formulated in the form of gel by using food grade colors and shimmer powder. The values of different evaluations justified the usage of the color. It offers a permanent hair color alternate, which can be used without interference with the structure of hair, easy to remove, good lasting property and irrespective of any side effects.
