ABSTRACT
Medicinal plants are believed to be an important source of new chemical substances with potential therapeutic effects. Nyctanthes arbo-tristis plant contains potential antioxidant phytochemical such as Triterpenoids, polyphenols, flavonoids and related compounds have received increasing attention for their potential role in prevention of human diseases. Phytotherapeutics need a scientific approach to deliver the components in a sustained manner to increase patient compliance and avoid repeated administration. One such novel approach is nanotechnology. Nano-sized drug delivery systems of herbal drugs have a potential future for enhancing the activity and overcoming problems associated with plant medicines. This study Suggests that successful Synthesis and characterization of ZnO-NPs using hydroalcoholic leaf extract of Nyctanthus arbor-tristis.
Keywords: Nyctanthes, Zinc oxide nanoparticles, Green synthesis.
