Gradually the number of cases increased and now it turns to 89995 active cases and 5164 lost their lives in India (May 31st, 2020). COVID 19 is newly diagnosed viral disease caused by the virus severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS CoV 2) of the family coronoviridae. Infection prevention has taken seriously and droplet transmission from the infected patient is the reason for spreading. Stay home. Stay live is the current oath for being away from the disease. The COVID 19 has announced as the Pandemic disease by WHO hence there were vast spreading all over the India. The other reported corona virus diseases are Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). SARS was an epidemic disease affected 26 countries and had about 6000 cases reported. Alike COVID 19 it has first identified in Southern China, Guangdong. The clinical presentation was of influenza like symptoms include fever, cough, rigors and myalgia. The first outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) was in 2012 in Saudi Arabia. MERS is a disease caused by novel corona virus and 35% of the infected people died. The transmission was through direct contact with the infected peoples. And the symptoms vary from common cold to respiratory distress. The group corona viruses mainly affect the respiratory system and respiratory distress is the major cause of death. The people with weak immune system, older people and those with co-morbid disease conditions are at high risk of severity.
