ABSTRACT
Health is a prime issue since ancient times. Being healthy is the first and foremost condition in today‟s world. Woman is considered as Janani of this world. Health of a woman is reliant to her routine work, food consumption and her mental status. The notion of Pathya is given great emphasis in Ayurveda. Thus by toting up the concept of Pathya-Apathya in our diet and routine work, the preventive as well as therapeutic approaches towards different disease conditions can be taken. The healthiness of a woman to a huge degree depends on her menstrual cycle. Now a day‟s as to employment in a stressful surroundings, the incidents of abnormal i.e. excessive or scanty menstrual bleeding are advancing day by day, this perturb her daily routine. The situation ends with incapability to do work appropriately and also gets affected by psychosomatic upsets, which hinders the accomplishment of healthy conception. Though all menstrual disorders can be better approached through Ayurveda notions and therefore regularization of everyday routine, food habits etc is much obligatory. With medicines, an appropriate diet regimen i.e. Pathya-Apathya Aahara and Vihara is much indispensable to regularize the normalcy of menstrual bleeding. Ayurveda provide a holistic approach in management of disease, hence along with medication to achieve an improved outcome, Pathya-Apathya ought to be maintained in daily lifestyle of a woman to empower her wellbeing. Nidana parivarjana is first line of treatment in Ayurveda. For this reason devoid of knowing Pathya-Apathya regime no one could be competent to evade Apathya factors and to append Pathya factors in Ahara-Vihara to augment the superior outcome.
