ABSTRACT
Plant tissue culture has gives new insights into plant biology and has become an important tool for the development of crop species. In tissue culture technique has observed that, the great potential of biotechnology in the development of many crops in herbs. From this study concluded that shoot tip and leaf base explants of are ideal for establishing in vitro culture. MS basal medium supplemented by BAP, NAA and IAA. This study suggested that media containing BAP (150μl/50 ml), NAA (20μl/50 ml) and IAA (20μl/50ml) ml is the optimal plant growth hormone and MS media played a good role for mentha shoot induction and multiplication. It is suitable for made up of multiple shoots in shoot tip and leaf base explants in MENTHA. It is also concluded that the possibility of in vitro propagation of mentha piperita clone cultivation, demonstrating to be an alternative to increase the production at commercial scale compared to the conventional propagation.
