ABSTRACT
Over a millennium, humans have coevolved with microbes in a progressive manner. However, the modifications in the norms of society as well as environmental factors have drastically affected the relationship between the micro-organisms and humans. In this review, we will emphasize onto the fundamental mechanisms that draw the associative relationship between the microbes and host in connection with the health and diseases. We will discuss the potential therapeutic strategies that can be used to recognize that the promise of pharmabiotics as understanding of the action mechanism of probiotic microorganism which may help to design new strategies for the prevention and treatment of human disease specifically. However, more research into the field need to be carried out to determine different microbial activities, and whether any sort of interference in their activities can produce any ailments or other health related issues. The advent of powerful new methodologies in microbial genetics, molecular biology and biotechnology has only quickened the pace of developments.
