ABSTRACT
Seeds of pulses are infected by various seed-borne fungi. The seed mycoflora affect adversely to the seed quality and quantity. Four pulses seed were subjected to in-vitro infestation of their six common and dominant seed-borne fungi. Pathogenesis leads to toxin secretion by the fungi on the test seeds of pulses. The toxic metabolites cause deterioration of seed health in terms of seed germination, root and shoot length. Among six common and dominant seed-borne fungi Aspergillus niger and A. flavus found comparatively to be more toxic to the test pulses seed.
