ABSTRACT
The first generation endometrial ablation techniqueshave been evaluated extensively in national audits, randomised controlled trials, and meta-analysis. Thereported success rates vary between individual gynaecologists.Amenorrhoea rates can range from 30%±50%, andfurther signifcant reduction in menstrual bleeding is seenin 35%±65%.[1] There are several possible reasons forthese inconsistent results, including the level of skill ofthe operator. A range of second generation ablationdevices have been developed to overcome these interoperatorvariations in order to achieve a more uniformand reproducible ablation.[2] Keywords: .
