FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL GEL

ABSTRACT
Herbal formulations are still the mainstay of about 70-80% of world’s population for primary healthcare because of better cultural acceptability and compatibility. It is estimated that nearly 960 plant species are used by the Indian herbal industries. The people are moving towards herbal products because it has very less side effects. The objective of study is formulation and evaluation of herbal gel containing aloe vera and neem. Gels prepared by herbal ingredients having lesser side effects are better than synthetic ingredients. These plants have been used since long for having good antimicrobial, antiseptic, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activities in them. To keep skin healthy, clear and glossy against various odds like dryness, roughness, skin redness and pimples this herbal gel has been formulated. Herbal gel was prepared and evaluated and the results were found to be satisfactory.
