ABSTRACT
Present aim of this research work to formulation and development of biphasic drug delivery system for simultaneous administration of combination antihypertensive drugs. Different parts of study were performed in the preformulation study like hardness, weight variation, friability, dissolution study, disintegration etc. The development work was to formulate develop, sustain release- immediate release, stable capsule dosage form containing DCPT 180 API as SR Tablet and DCPT 181 as a IR blend(dry mix) (1.5/100 mg) with a drug release similar to that of two different reference formulated products individually. As it was the challenge to formulate and match the dissolution to statistics. In between the formulation development, it was observed that Dissolution of IR blend was decreased in initial time points. It was assumed because of polymer, which swells when interrupt to release the blend from the capsule. Magnesium Stearateās concentration plays an important roll in drug release. It is assumes that it forms layers on the inner wall of capsule, retards the disintegration of capsules, affects the dissolution of IR part.
