PERIPHERAL OSSIFYING FIBROMA – A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Peripheral ossifying fibroma is a common, benign, reactive lesion of connective tissues of jaws grouped under fibrosseous lesions, caused by prolonged irritations to gingiva by various factors. We report a case of 36 years old male patient with recurrent slow growing gingival mass in mandibular molar region. A brief highlight of literature review on occurrence rates, clinical presentations and radiologic features are discussed in this article with an overview on etiopathogenesis and management of such lesions.
