A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON: HANTAVIRUS

ABSTRACT
The recent outbreak of Hantavirus in China on 2020 has attracted national attention, with 1 confirmed cases of Hantavirus Cardiopulmonary Syndrome and during the COVID 19 infection of virus worldwide. This article will review the outbreak of Hantavirus in China. The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) says that the virus is spread mainly from rodents. Hantaviruses in the Americas are known as New World Hantaviruses and may cause Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS). Humans become infected by either inhaling virus contaminated aerosols or having contact with the urine or droppings of infected animals. Hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome presents as a vague prodrome of fever, cough, myalgias, chills, and nausea followed by a rapidly worsening respiratory phase.
