ABSTRACT
The present study aimed to investigate the protective effects of Beta vulgaris root juice (RBR) in a male rat intoxicated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)-induced hematological toxicity model. Hematological parameters and oxidative stress markers were assessed. RBR protected against AgNPs-induced hematological toxicity evidenced by preventing RBCs and Hb% reduction and WBCs and platelet count increment. Furthermore, RBR restrained oxidative stress by preventing lipid peroxidation, and nitric oxide formations, and glutathione depletion. The obtained data demonstrated that post-treatment with RBR attenuated AgNPs-induced hematological toxicity by attenuated hematological parameters disturbance and oxidative stress induction in rats.
