A PROMINENT STRATEGIC REVIEW ON “APPROACH FOR FUNCTIONAL SOLUBILITY FOR POORLY SOLUBLE DRUGS”
Shobhit Trivedi, Dr. A Rajendiran*
ABSTRACT
Solubility is an important factor for obtaining maximum drug concentration in systemic circulation to be demonstrated for pharmacological response. Most of the drugs are lipophilic among all newly invented chemical entities and fail to achieve the market due to inadequate water solubility. One of the most challenging principles of information development is still the solubility behavior. Consequently, different methods to enhance the solubility of poorly water-soluble drugs, including micronisation, chemical modification, pH correlation, solid dispersion, complexation, micellar solubilization, hydrotropy, etc. This article discusses the various preparation methods, and some of the practical considerations for dispersion preparation.
