ABSTRACT
Indian universities close the campuses due to covid -19 pandemic situation and forced to initiate online teaching and the government asked for non-stop teaching and learning. So we have taken the online classes for about the last 6 months to take feedback from the students. We prepared a self-designed structured questionnaire to take the student’s response to online teaching in comparison to conventional classroom teaching, we use 5 points Likert Scale in which 5 indicating strongly agree and 1 indicating strongly disagree. In our study students responses at some point are in favor of online classes and at some point are in favor of conventional classroom teaching. But on online
assessment, the performances of students are almost the same as in conventional classroom teaching. Therefore at this level of 6 months of online teaching, we can’t say whether online classes are better than conventional classroom teaching. Therefore we concluded that in medical education online classes cannot replace the conventional classroom or Face to face teaching and we hope in the future with the advancement in teaching method technologies we can obtain a better result by combining both.
Keywords: Online teaching, Pandemic situation, conventional teaching.
