ABSTRACT
The bilayer tablet is a novel technology developed for controlled released formulation. It is one of a kind deals with combination. In a single dose combination of two drugs involved in bilayer tablet. The combination tablet prevent drug interaction and suitable control release of two active pharmaceutical ingredients at a time. In current research work, pracetomol is pure form of drug and phenylephrine hcl is salt form so that chances of drug interaction. Therefore we prepared bilayer tablet for stable dosage form and release of two drug at a time. tablet prepared by wet granulation method and varous excipients are using to make a bilayer tablet by using talc, HPMC, magnesium sterate, mannitol, pavidone etc. Prepared tablet are evaluated for friability,
hardnes, drug content, weight variations and invitro study along with kinetic study by using various model such as zero order kinetic, hugachi model, peppas model, Vergnaud Model etc.
Keywords: Bilayer tablet, paracetamol, phenyl ephrine, preformulation study, FTIR, NMR, Invitro study.
