Divya Swamyraj*
ABSTRACT
Squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant tumour that arises from squamous layer of cells of the epidermis. It is a less common than basal cell carcinoma. It is a more aggressive tumour and has tendency to metastasize through lymphatics and peri neural spread. It is difficult to diagnose, as it is clinically indistinguishable from BCC. In these situation a correct clinical and pathological diagnosis is mandatory.
