ABSTRACT
Proper hand hygiene is believed to be one of the best ways to remain healthy and productive. Products such as hand sanitizers have been proven to be effective in various clinical studies. Find hand sanitizers that fit the specific needs of your home or office and help prevent illness. Formulations of the alcohol-based type are preferable to hand washing with soap and water in most situations in the healthcare setting. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer works against a variety of microorganisms but not spores. Compliance with hand hygiene recommendations is critical to reducing colonization and infection of the hands of all people, and specifically the hands of health-care workers. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) hand hygiene encompasses the cleansing of your hands by using hand
washing with soap and water, antiseptic hand washes, antiseptic hand rubs such as alcohol-based hand sanitizers (ABHS), foams or gels, or surgical hand antisepsis
