ABSTRACT
Keratoacanthoma, a variant of cutaneous horn is regarded as a benign epithelial tumour and characterized by a flesh coloured, rapid-growing with a central keratin plug usually on the sun-exposed skin. In this paper, we present a case of a 37-year-old man with a 3.5 x 2.5cm mass on his glans penis with lower urinary tract symptoms. The patient was treated with circumcision for balanoposthitis with phimosis. After two year, he developed a cauliflower like irregular growth over the dorsal aspect of glans penis with sub centimetric bilateral inguinal lymph nodes. He received a partial penectomy and the histopathological result revealed feature of Keratoacanthoma. Penile cutaneous horn can be either benign or malignant. So, it is important to differentiate both the entities as the treatment choice for benign disease widely varies with
that of malignant disease.
Keywords: Keratoacanthoma, squamous cell carcinoma, circumcision, penile amputation.
