CLINICAL STUDY TO COMPARE THE EFFECT OF CHOORNA PINDA SWEDA WITH PATRA POTTALA SWEDA IN MANYASTHAMBHA

ABSTRACT
Manyasthambha is one of the nanatmaja vyadhi. Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative disorder, in this both structural and functional derangements happen. It is age and work related disability usually found in age group 30-60yrs.In general line of treatment of vata vyadhi snehana and swedana are given prime importance. A total of 40 Patients of manyasthambha were randomly distributed into two groups—group A and group B, each group consisting of 20 patients each. 20 Patients were treated with Choorna pinda sweda for 7 days, 20 Patients were treated with patra pottala sweda for 7 days. The duration of the treatment is seven days. Both the group A and B proved to be effective in management of Manyasthambha. Radiating pain,
giddiness, occipital headache was taken as objective parameters Tenderness of neck was taken as subjective parameter Here range of movementof neck was assesed by goniometry Patients of both groups showed marked relief in symptom.
