Siddiqui N.*, Huma Hasan, Ferasat Ali

ABSTRACT

The examination of pulse is one of the most important and practical means to diagnose the clinical state of a person, be it health or disease. And in case of disease, examination of pulse is also important to assess the prognosis of the disease. Almost all the traditional medicinal systems such as Arab, Greek, Chinese, and Iranian etc. have described the importance of pulse and its examination. Unani physicians have emphasized enough about the importance of pulse and several books have been written on it as well. This paper describes the various observations related to pulse during clinical examination that have been described by Unani physicians in the past.
