ABSTRACT
Bio-printing technology shows high accurate potential in the field of tissue engineering for the fabrication of scaffolds, cells, tissues and organs. There are mainly divided into three categories inkjet bio printing, pressure-assisted bio printing, laser-assisted bio printing. These have the own advantages and disadvantages. Mimicking 3D periodontal complex with multicellular interactions represents one of the greatest challenges in regenerative periodontics. This review
describes different bio printing methods and explains about different substitutes of biomaterial like ceramic, composite and cell aggregates. 3D Bio-Printing of all periodontal components form the tissue is in very early stages. This review focuses on 3D bio-printing-current challenges and future directions.
