ABSTRACT
Matrix type transdermal drug delivery systems containing Nebivolol
hydrochloride were prepared using eudragit RL 100 as the base
polymer with plasticizer (DBP/TBC/ATEC/ATBC) and chemical
enhancer (n-Octanol/ IPM) by solvent evaporation technique.
Physiochemical parameters were characterized and in-vitro release
from formulation film was performed. On the basis of release data, invitro
permeation studies of selected patches were performed by using
modified Franz diffusion cell through mice skin. The FT-IR study
showed no polymer drug interaction. The release from the patches
mainly followed the zero order kinetics. DBP and ATEC are best choice of plasticizers. Two
formulations were the preferred choices for preparing the matrixes.
