EVALUATION OF KNOWLEDGE OF WORKERS TOWARDS MEAT CONTAMINATION AND CONTROL MEASURES IN AN EXPORT SLAUGHTERHOUSE AT KHARTOUM STSTE, SUDAN

ABSTRACT
A descriptive and experimental method study was conducted in an export slaughterhouse at Khartoum State, Sudan from May 2016 to May 2019. A semi structured questionnaire targeting slaughterhouse workers (30 workers) was conducted with aim of evaluating awareness and commitment of the management and workers towards executing the hygienic measures and any relative information for control measures of contamination. There result regarding the gap in knowledge of workers towards meat contamination and control measures in the slaughterhouse revealed that among 27 questions, 15 questions rated between (66.7%-100%) which was considered good
knowledge, while 12 questions rated between (0-56.7%) a rate considered as poor knowledge.
