PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECT OF LUTEOLIN: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT
Luteolin is one of the flavonoid secondary metabolites of flavone subclass. Luteolin is known as 3,4,5,7-Tetrahydroxyflavone. Luteolin can be found in vegetables, fruits and several types of plants. Luteolin shown an effects on antiinflammatory, antidiabetes, antihypertensive and brain health. This review discusses the various pharmacological effects of luteolin hence it can be developed easily for the treatment of diseases.
