ABSTRACT
The emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the end of 2019 originating from Wuhan City in China has spread rapidly. The spread is known to originate from animals, such as bats, frogs, and rabbits, which can be transmitted to humans if consumed and spread can also occur between humans to humans if they transmit the virus droplet when coughing or sneezing. This review aims to describe the latest research on the potential of an antiviral against the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection which is now widespread. The method of reviewing this article is to explore through several search engine websites such as
Science Direct, PubMed, and NEJM. Based on the results of the review, have not found specific antivirals that effective against the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection and require an additional trial of several candidate drugs that own the potential against the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
