ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to formulate and evaluate topical gel containing aqueous extract of Arjuna Bark (Terminalia arjuna) and Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis miller). The gel was prepared with the help of a various gelling agents (Sodium CMC, HPMC, and Carbopol 934). The agent Carbopol 934 gives all the gel characteristics and attains the gel properties among all. The gel was prepared by using Carbopol 934, an aqueous extract of Terminalia Arjuna, extract of Aloe barbadensis miller, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, and Triethanolamine. The evaluation parameters of topical gel were evaluated like (Viscosity, pH, Skin irritation, and Spreadability, etc) The stability studied was also done for 3 months according to ICH Guidelines at different temperature and humidity. For skin irritation test animal model (mice) used and no irritation shows on the model.
Keywords: Terminalia Arjuna, Aloe barbadensis miller, Psoriasis, Topical Gel, Carbopol 934.
