REVIEW ON ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITIES CONTAINING INDIGENOUS PLANTS IN INDIA

ABSTRACT
Medicinal plants have been using for the treatment of infectious and non-infectious malady since ancient times. Approximately 25% of the frequently used medicines comprise compounds extracted from the herbal plants. The herbal medicine has not only a huge traditional use but also a broad therapeutic effects and scare side effects as well. Annually three to five million patients are affecting by viral infection throughout the whole world. In the present scenario (2020), corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered SARS-COV-2 virus. This viral infection create a pandemic situation throughout the world. These viral infections are mainly
occurred when pathogenic viruses invade the body of an organism. In this challenging time, we can use these naturally occured pharmacotherapy for treatment purpose.
