ABSTRACT
Mansoa alliacea commonly known as Garlic Vine is one of the most significant plant for medicinal purposes. The extraction and screening of various phytochemicals from Mansoa alliacea plant leaves was carried out which shows the presence of various phytochemical compounds like alkaloids, flavonoids, carbohydrates, reducing sugar, proteins, amino acids, saponins, tannins, phenolics and phytosterols. The aqueous and methanolic extract contain phytochemical compounds which can be useful in studying the antimicrobial, antifungal and anticancerous activities of the plant. The presence of phenolic and flavonoid compounds implies a possible resource of antioxidant compound. Further studies are suggested to isolate and characterize phenolic compound. It is used for fevers, cold, cough and
upper respiratory condition.
