A CASE REPORT ON PANHYPOPITUITARISM

ABSTRACT
Panhypopituitarism is a rare disease with a high mortality. It is characterized by complete or partial deficiency of hormones secreted by the pituitary gland (4, 5). We describe a 52 year old female patient came with complaints of increased tiredness and decreased food intake. She had history of hyponatremia in the past. Laboratory investigation showed reduction in various hormonal levels.MRI brain suggestive of empty sella, minimum posterior pituitary tissue seen. She was diagnosed with panhypopituitarism and was treated with hydrocortisone and levothyroxine. After the therapy, patient's condition was progressively improved.
