There are many skin diseases which annoys the cosmetic values, in which ‘Charmakeela’ or ‘wart’ is a common irritating disease, known from thousands of years. Acccording to Ayurveda Charmakeela is one among Kshudra Roga which is a stiff peg like sprout on the skin. Among the Kshudrarogas, Charmakeela has its own unique importance because of its manifestation in any part of the body like face, hands, neck and axilla causing an ugly look. Even though it has no Shariraka ruja, but patients are psychologically depressed. The vitiated Vyana Vayu, united with the aggravated Kapha, produces a kind of hard (Keela like) pappillomatous growths on the skin which are called Charmakeela. And Acharyas have explained Agnikarma and Ksharakarma are the main treatment for Charmakeela. Here in this study the main objective is a comparative effects of Agnikarma with
Louha salaka and Chitraka prathisaraniya Ksharakarma in curing out the lesions of Charmakeela. This work was also aimed at finding out the advantages and disadvantages regarding the cosmetic values of the two methods.
