THERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF BHUMI- AMLAKI CHURNA WITH TANDULODAK IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ASRUGDARA- A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Menstrual cycle is the process where women bleeds for few days per month; so any abnormality in this cycle has the adverse effect on women's health. For healthy society it is must that women should be healthy. Menorrhagia is a very common complaint among females in recent years. The World Health Organization reports that 18 million women aged 30-55 years perceive their menstrual bleeding to be exorbitant. Blood tissue is considered as one among 7 dhatu as per Ayurveda. Blood is related with pitta dosha. Hence, bleeding disorders are usually influenced by pitta imbalance. The Vayu after getting vitiated, increases quantity of rakta (blood), takes rakta to rajovaha siras & increases the quantity of rajah that comes out through rajovaha siras
& causes asrugdara. So Bhumi- amlaki churna with Tandulodak 3gm twice a day is selected for study. The patient was assessed by different parameters like color, consistency and interval of menstrual cycle before and after treatment.
