ENDO-PERIO LESION- PRIMARY PERIODONTAL LESION

ABSTRACT
An Endo-Perio lesion has been one of the prevalent Dental issues associated with contemporary Dentistry. The concurrent involvement of pulpal and Periodontium tissues can complicate accurate diagnosis and subsequent treatment planning. The incumbent case report denotes that the knowledge and its application to the served dilemma of myriad cases of various overlapping clinical presentation of lesions, assist the clinician to accomplish the desired outcome. Further, the case report stresses the significance of periodontal therapy alone, though the radiograph suggests endodontic therapy, brought the resolution of the
defect. Clinical procedure involved the debridement of the defect followed by placement of alloplastic bone graft in anatomical buccal defect which created illusion of an Endodontic lesion on the radiograph. Undoubtedly, the concerned tooth was vital hence no endodontic treatment was required. Clinically, one month post operatively, there was significant gain in clinical attachment level and Radiographically, a significant amount of bone fill was observed.
