ABSTRACT
Aphanamixis polystachya (wall.) parker syn. Amoora rohituka is a medicinal plants is to be useful remedy for liver disease, enlarged spleen, tumour, and abdominal complaints. Family- Meliaceae. It is big sized tree grows up to 30 meters in height. Bark greyish brown to
dark brown, rough, exfoliating in circular flakes, wood reddish brown, leaves large, imparipinnate. leaflets opposite, elliptic-oblong or Blong-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous on both surfaces, male flowers numerous in auxiliary panicles, female or bisexual flowers
larger than male in auxiliary or supra-auxiliary solitary spikes; fruits globular, smooth, yellow when ripe, seeds with scarlet aril. It is distributed tropical areas generally from Asia and Oceania: China, Bhutan, India Sri Lanka, Indochina, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia, and
Malaysia. Within India, Goa, Nagpur. Various activities be reported as antimicrobial activity, cytotoxicity activity, antitumor activity.
