ANALYTICAL EVALUATION OF TAARAMANDOORA GUDA –A HERBOMINERAL FORMULATION

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Standardization of a prepared formulation is a crucial step in the pharmaceutical science, which is also encompassed in the science of Ayurveda. Along with age old parameters given by classical texts, many of the reliable contemporary parameters are included to assess the quality of a product. With this background the work deals with the evaluation of quality of Taaramandoora guda, an Ayurvedic herbo-mineral drug using analytical parameters. Methodology: The prepared Taaramandoora guda is subjected to organoleptic and various physicochemical tests specified in pharmacopeia and the results were recorded. Results and Discussion: The various parameters reveal the results with respect the property of the prepared pill- Taaramandoora guda. Conclusion: The study significantly proves that the test drug Taaramandoora guda is of optimum quality.
