ABSTRACT
Benzimidazole derivatives are most important biologically active compounds. These compounds or derivatives having wide spectrum of biological activity. They having the various activity antiviral, anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, besides they also have other biological activity. Mostly the Benzimidazole derivatives are synthesized using the condensation of orthophenylene diamine with the aromatic aldehyde. We have used the simple catalyst like glycine under pestle and mortar. It leads to formation of the product. This reaction gives good yield and purity.
Keywords: diamine, glycine, pestle mortar, green, recyclable.
