ABSTRACT
The present study explored the nanosizing approach for inhalational drug delivery by formulating nanosized powder for dry powder inhalers. Controlled precipitation method offers relatively easy method for the production of particles amenable for pulmonary delivery via dry powder inhalers. Inhalation drug formulation in the form of nanosized particles was developed successfully. The crystalline product showed excellent aerosolization behavior, high respirable fraction and dose uniformity and independence of the type of device. Formulation showed satisfactory results on1the basis of surface morphology, particle size and particle1size distribution, which is suitable for
systemic delivery via pulmonary route. The in vitro studies confirm the effectiveness and efficacy of the nanosized formulation in terms of better respirable fraction, higher bioavailability and rapid onset of action,
